Font Victory!
Peur sur Amityville (remake) » Devlog
Big progress today!
I’ve finished extracting all the fonts I needed and created a full set including lowercase letters. This means I now have a complete custom font system that will let me translate and display all the in-game text.
While working on this, I also noticed that the original vignette text had no real spacing—it’s all based on specific word placement. So I wrote some code to recognise the word positions and match them properly on screen.
_________________ _XX__XXXXX__XXXXX XXX___XX___XXXXXX XXXXXX_X_XXXXX_XX XXXXXXX__________ _________________ _________________ _________________ _________________ _________________ _________________ _________________ _________________
This was a tricky step, but it’s starting to look really accurate to the original.
Happy with this milestone!
